Hebrew School

Our active Hebrew school is FREE to all children ages 5-13 whose parents or guardians are members of the congregation. We also offer, in special circumstances, a tuition alternative to non member children.

The children are taught the Hebrew language along with Jewish customs and practices in a fun and enriching environment, from kindergarten to bar and bat mitzvah preparation.

Small class sizes allow for plenty of individual attention. Besides the core curriculum, students participate in special holiday activities and parties, children’s Friday night Shabbat services, picnics, and an Awards Ceremony at the end of the year. Classes are offered on Monday and Wednesday from 4:15 until 6:00 p.m., and run from September to May.

Contact the principal, Marsha Scharfstein, at 343-7023 ext.2 or email hebrewschool@sasktel.net for information about enrolling your child.

In 2013 our Hebrew School celebrated its 100th anniversary. Since 2000, our Shlichim have been an important part of our Hebrew School as teachers. In commemoration of this occasion, past and present Shlichim honoured us with this video presentation:
